Hair transplants

The hair follicle transplant procedure involves transferring a patient’s hair from an area where there is thicker growth, such as occipital and parietal regions, to another bald or thinly covered area, obtaining excellent, long lasting results.

This operation, which can be carried out under local anaesthesia or with full sedation, involves making tiny holes in the area where growth is to be increased, and into which plugs of hair are inserted.

No particular risks or complications are associated with this type of operation, however it may sometimes be necessary to repeat the operation for optimal results.
